I would really like to have a choice of a character select screen, and i am sure many of you would also. By this is mean the old screen when when u pick you're player they run forward to you by the campfire setting, and the old music on that screen to. I really enjoyed that screen and had a certain feeling towards Guild Wars with it (i can't explain why).

Here is also an idea if it was to be an option, including the music to match the themes:

Character select screen type:
Classic style
Factions style
Nightfall style

Just like the tab where you can change the order of your characters.

A nice idea, but the issue is that we can only use the Factions screen now. If we went back to the Prophecies 'classic' login screen, then we run into a huge problem - that of where to we put all the characters? Think of it. We have four from Prophecies, two from Factions, two from Nightfall... That's twice as many as that login screen was designed to use. And that's only if you didn't buy extra slots, get the pre-sale pack NF pack... Factions could be used. But Prophecies could never be used again because it'd need to be redesigned. If they redesigned it into what we have for Nightfall - an environment - then it's plausible that they could use it as a login screen. But as it stood when we last saw it - unless I'm forgetting what it looked like entirely - the characters lined up would be too many to do effectively and still make it look good.

I do agree that Prophecies had a nice login screen, but it just won't work any longer, no matter how much we wish we could have it back. But if they did add in an option for different login screens, I'm sure a redesigned Prophecies screen would be added in.

totally agree, I'd like a customization too, but i'm aware of the broblem due to difference of number of slot between people

All that need be done is to make a 3D version of the Prophecies Campfire load screen.

This has been discussed before and I'm still in favor of it.

For someone who owns only Prophecies, its kinda shitty to have to stare at the Nightfall login. Same for Factions.

Prophecies is still my favorite game, I would like to have my login show that.

Honestly, I would love a choice between the character selection screen but Panacea brings up a good point,in the Prophecies selection screen, where to put em all? Through the store you can purchase 20+ new character slots, now, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't really like sifting through 30 different 3D character modles looking for "Mesmer #3."

Showing the latest Chapter's Logo on the login screen doubles as a marketing tool to those who didn't buy the recent chapter.

Not to mention that Gaile already addressed why they couldn't go back to the older login screens. One of those arguments was that there were too many improvements. The other was that they didn't want to have to do multiple builds of the login screen.

Yeah; I miss the original screen. And the whale from Factions. The Nightfall screen is just too busy for my taste.

They don't "have" to reset the original Prophecies screen back to how it was with all four(or more) characters in place, but they could still put the old background and music in; maybe make the chosen character appear and run forward alone from the background.

If enough people asked for it, it might happen. But sadly, I fear we're of a minority on the issue...again...

I agree on remaking the original character select screen. Although they do need to mke it much easier to change between characters. Make it so that we dont have to log in and out all the time just to use another character. That can get quite frustrating I know of a few games that have a system implemented that allows you to log into your account then choose any character that you want at anytime. Although they do ask for your password before you can use the new character, Ill put up with that if they would make it easier to get at all your characters.

I love the original main music of login screen, there are no way I can hear that song in-game. Factions/Nightfall logins are beatiful, with that water, and music, but I would like to select the login I want, good idea. About character slots, I don't see a big problem really, they must change a little that old login before re-add it.

Go to in-game store, and choose "prophecies" under "campaigns". You can listen to the original music. Same for Factions.

Meh....doesnt really matter to me. I'm in the character select screen for a whole of half a second. But, I would like some sort of character CHANGE. Something in-game so I dont have to log out when I wanna play someone else.

Just have some arrows at the bottom to scroll between the people around the campfire, they can all run off to the left or right as you scroll between all your heros.

I'd also like to see a better sort ability, such as date created, or even drag/drop to new order.
